Phono preamplifier and electronic speed switch – Made in Europe

The stylish, CNC-milled chassis of the T1 contains no plastic parts and is made entirely without cavities, so that no unwanted vibrations can occur in the chassis. In keeping with this philosophy, the platter is made of solid glass. In contrast to plastic or light steel turntables, unwanted resonances are effectively suppressed. The turntable of the T1 is driven by a belt. This precisely transfers the driving force to the newly designed sub-plate, which in turn sits in the ultra-precise 0.001mm platter bearing with a hardened stainless steel shaft in a brass bush. The 8.6 “long tonearm consists of a single piece of aluminum and is equipped with low-friction bearings.

Compared to the standard T1 model, the Phono SB version has an integrated, high-quality MM Phono preamplifier developed by Pro-Ject and an electronic speed switch between 33 and 45 RPM. While many other turntables have installed uncontrolled DC motors with massive synchronism fluctuations, the T1 Phono SB has our established, electronically controlled, precise AC motor.
