Just like all our cables the digital RCA cables are hand built in Britain for performance. Some think that the idea that improving the signal path for digital signals is a waste of time. However a digital signal is not a 1 or 0 as is often thought but an analogue pulse and so the same care and consideration has to be taken with the construction of a digital cable as with a pure analogue cable. The 1 or 0 is result of the signal being “read” and that is the binary piece of information not the electronic signal in the wire. That is the way we think of it and why we build the cables the way that we do.

Here is a simple and non-technical way to view a digital signal in a wire and while not what happens it is a more accurate model than a one or zero. A single electron is not enough to trigger a response from audio equipment. So we need to think about the signal as a “swarm” of electrons almost with a shape. To turn a signal on or off requires a small amount of time and a magnitude of the “swarm” is necessary, the shape of which is affected by many factors and which in turn affects leading and trailing edges as they are read. However as we said, while a little closer to the truth this is still not what actually happens.

Our Waveform series has been refined and radically reworked to give an even purer signal path than before with the development of Waveform II.

The reference level graphite takes what the black range does so well and then goes beyond that performance.

The circuit board in each connector that was designed to actively prevent jitter is also embedded in an anti micro-phony compound to minimize vibration.

HiFi+ Review

“It’s actually irrelevant which Tellurium Q cable you select to compare against its Nordost opponent, it’s more that the difference in the nature of the performance of both ‘families’ is so huge as to render the ‘bits is bits’ idea laughable to any listener. Curiously, I had expected this difference to be less significant, because both Nordost and Tellurium Q have a reputation for leading the field in leading-edge resolution. This turned out to be correct.”

“I would like to share with you my impressions about the Tellurium Graphite Digital RCA. I expected the typical not breaking in cable sound: harsh and analytic. But it was worse!! In addition to this, the cable didn’t had highs nor lows… It sounded like a rigid wire.

At this point I doubt seriously if it would be a good cable!!!

A little latter is when I discovered the Tellurium Q System Enhancement CD… it’s a CD about 70 minutes of playing time that comes in 3 cuts…. And at the end I saw the light!

It’s a break-in and system enhancement CD that plays a signal that signal that cover the whole hearing spectrum.

Oh my God!!! How good this cable sounds!!!

It has moved from earth to heaven… it delivers all the sound that your CD transport can offer… it’s quick, it’s firm, clean and has brutal dynamics!!!

It respect the highest and lowest frequencies… but it doesn’t widen nor reduce them… with a Divine entirety in the bass and a prodigious musicality in the highs.

Paco… you were right. I am very proud of this cable!!! And even more bearing in mind that it costs less than 1000€… everything it delivers and in the way it does it, it’s a very cheap cable!!!!”
